FirstHand FirstAid is Now Offering Online Courses!

All courses are done at www.redcrosselearning.ca with a Pin and a Password which will be provided to you upon payment.

Online First Aid Blended Learning consists of an online portion to your training as well as in class training. Blended learning is great for those who cannot commit the full two days in class which also allows you yo train at your own pace. Once you enroll in the online blended learning you will be given a pin number and a password where you will log onto www.redcrosselearning.ca. From there it will take you to the online portion of your course. Once you have completed this online portion you will print out a certificate. After your certificate is completed you will contact FirstHand FirstAid either by email () or phone (403-700-7145) to make an appointment where you will come in, one on one, or in a group to complete the skills sections which typically takes between 6-8 hours. You will then be fully certified and ready for every day emergencies!

There are no pre-requisites for this course but once the certificate is completed you have 60 days to complete the in class portion or your certificate will be invalid. Please note that your certificate does not substitute as your official certification card and will not be accepted by companies or workplaces as per OH&S legislations.

WHMIS Plus GHS is a new online training option that meets the legislated requirements for WHMIS education and introduces participants to the GHS, which is being adopted in Canada. This course is appropriate for workers, supervisors and managers, and offers an opportunity to be pro-active and prepare for upcoming changes to hazard classification, labeling and Safety Data Sheet formats. The course engages learners with interactive exercises and includes mandatory testing to ensure that participants have retained the required knowledge.

Upon completion of all modules, participants can download/print a Certificate of Completion that includes their name and the date of training. A laminated, water-proof wallet card will arrive by mail.

In the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) course you will learn its regulations and proper training, proper documentation, safety marks and means of containment, forbidden goods, exemptions and special provisions as well as, immediate reporting and procedures to follow in the event of an emergency. A printable certificate is available upon completion.

Also, Please Note: Although this is a nationally recognized course, if you are currently unemployed and seeking employment it is up to your new employer to accept any prior training. They may still require you to re-train once hired.
